Welcome Port was accepted and opened by the General Administration of Customs in 2019. The opening of Welcome Port fills the gap that Jinan City has not had a customs clearance port for imported meat and aquatic products for a long time, and provides import customs clearance convenience for import traders in inland Shandong Province and even inland cities in surrounding provinces and cities.

Welcome Port is currently the only inland port in the country that is located in the wholesale market of agricultural products.

After the opening and operation of Welcome Port, more than 20,000 containers of imported frozen meat and aquatic products can be cleared through customs every year, adding 10 billion yuan to Jinan's import trade volume and social zero, increasing local taxes, and promoting Jinan's import trade. Rapid growth will drive social employment, promote the rapid improvement of Jinan's cold chain logistics industry, and continue to generate economic and social benefits.
